I am known as Monica throughout the web-related world. Basically, I'm just your average teenager who's a bit too obsessed with anime and cartoons. My other passion is web designing, as you can tell from my numerous websites. I usually combine my love for the two by creating fansites such as this one.

Why Avatar?
I discovered Avatar while watching Saturday morning cartoons with my little brother and we both became instantaneous fans (although one of us became a bit more obsessive than the other). It had everything I always looked for in cartoons, but never quite found. There were well-developed and complicated characters. The plot was amazing. You could tell that the creators thought about every little detail and tried to incorporate as much realism as possible.I'm a big anime fan and Avatar really reminded me of an anime because it was intellectual. Sure, it's target audience were children, but that doesn't mean they can't add emotional depth and sarcastic humour. It wasn't just another mindless cartoon with completely random occurances that were meant to be funny. It was deep and even after watching a few episodes, I bonded with the characters and the world. Thus, began my weekly ritual of watching Avatar and I haven't looked back since.
